Feeling Minnesota

Thanks to my friend Jasmine for posting this on Instagram. Minnesota maps from Burlesque Design made up of the iconic people, places and things Minnesota is known for. Now to decide which one I want...maybe both.

The Making of the Eames Lounge Chair

I've longed to own this chair for many years, and maybe someday, in many years, I will.

Augustus Thompson

My new blog background is a piece from an artist Junna introduced me to who lives in San Francisco named Augustus Thompson. You can view Junna's blog entry for him here. I'm very much enjoying his work and plan on attending his art show this Friday. If you're interested, the advert is above. The Strokes - Angles

Here is the artwork for the upcoming new album from The Strokes, out March 22. Still not sold on the name Angles, but that is of minor consequence. Very excited to hear this album, and even more excited to see them again when they tour in June.

Stephany + Me

This is a short film starring my friend Ben Duhl. I had no idea he was even an actor, let alone such a good one! I loved it!! Such a cute little story. Take 10 minutes and have a look. You'll be happy you did.

The Selby

This image is changing my life right now. It combines so many things I like: the skeleton costumes from the Karate Kid, an acoustic guitar, and the pièce de résistance...a wizard's hat. Amazing.

It's one of hundreds of great images from a site called The Selby, which is the work of a photographer who captures cool people and their surroundings. Simple premise, but expertly done. I think I'm last to the party on this one, but hey, maybe you haven't heard of it, which makes YOU last to the party. Ha! No, but seriously, check it out. It's pretty sweet.

Weed Ad Campaign

My sister Christine––an Art Director in Chicago––sent me this faux Ad Campaign for Marijuana, were it to be a product that was legal and for sale. This is just a snippet, so click here for the full effect. With legalization on the ballet next Tuesday here in California, this could become a reality sooner than we think!

An Entire Facebook Album In One Photo

You know those people who have waaaaaay too many photos on Facebook? Turns out they might be good for something. These images were created using a single long exposure while flipping through photo albums on Facebook with the camera focused on the computer screen. Pretty frickin' amazing. They were created by Phillip Maisel for a project he titled "A More Open Place", which is a quote from Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg. There are many more, so click here if you're interested in seeing them.
