Julianna Barwick has put out her second album titled
The Magic Place. I was
a very big fan of her first album
Florine, which even made my
Best Albums of 2009. Her music is ambient and soothing, with lots of vocal loops and layers as well as some instrumentation. I'm especially fond of her because when I ordered her first album off her website a couple years ago, it had clearly been packaged and sent by her from her home in Brooklyn with
a big red heart drawn around my name. Very nice. Check out her music, it will make you happy.
