Your Holinesses, Radiohead? Meet Holy Fuck. The Toronto-based instrumentalists, last seen live on Dublab, have put their own touches on the Google-friendly single from the UK band's, um, mildly buzzed about double-LP In Rainbows. Except when Holy Fuck get "Nude", they dress up a little first. The drums grab a disproportionate share of the attention on In Rainbows right from the fuzzy squelches that open "15 Step", but on the album version of "Nude" they're subsumed by the vivid prettiness of swooping strings and Thom Yorke's fey croon, little more than lightly tapped hi-hats and an occasional kick. Holy Fuck, mucking with the track as part of the "Nude" remix contest (their version currently ranks No. 1 over at the contest's website), add a bunch more clattering sticks and some glitchy, overly busy drumming, and they've also put some effects on Yorke's voice. You could play "Where's Waldo" looking for other changes-- ooh, a drum roll on the climactic line, "You'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking." In the name of every epithet that is sacred, the last thing any In Rainbows track needs is somebody else's drums. But still: Radiohead, Holy Fuck. Holy Fuck, Radiohead. Talk amongst yourselves.
