Capitol/EMI has pushed back the premiere of its "From the Capitol Vaults" limited edition vinyl reissue campaign, which includes prominent entries from the back catalogs of Radiohead and Coldplay. Instead of being available in stores tomorrow, August 19, as originally planned, the first reissues in the series will arrive on September 2.
In exchange for the extended wait, Capitol/EMI has added Radiohead's The Bends and Pablo Honey, Coldplay's X&Y, R.E.M.'s Document, and the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds to the list of reissues. (Also A Perfect Circle's Mer de Noms and Steve Miller Band's Greatest Hits 1974-78.)
While most of the "From the Capitol Vaults" reissues will come as single or double 12" releases, Radiohead's Kid A and Amnesiac will both feature two 10" discs, true to their original vinyl editions.
